The Fuse Carbon wasn't adapted for e-bikes after the fact, but developed from the ground up for the weight and torque of e-MTBs. The wide 33 mm rim supports big tyres and gives you more traction when the motor is pushing hard.
Hand-laid in Kamloops
Every WR1 rim is hand-laid in Kamloops (Canada) by a named technician and given its own serial number. Nothing is sanded, filled or painted over: what comes out of the mould is the finished product.
The sinuous Convergence profile with faces angled at 7.5° aligns each nipple bed precisely with the hub flange, and the ZRT-reinforced spoke bed makes the rim significantly stronger. On a heavier e-MTB in particular, that means the spokes stay evenly tensioned and the wheel stays true longer.
FAQ and warranty
Which spoke length do I need?
The ERD of the Fuse Carbon is 562 mm (27.5") or 604 mm (29"). Together with your hub dimensions, you can use it to calculate the spoke length. Not sure? Send us your hub and we'll help you out.
28 or 32 holes?
In 29" the Fuse Carbon comes with 28 or 32 holes, in 27.5" with 32 holes. On an e-MTB we recommend 32 holes for the rear wheel. The key is that the hole count matches your hub.
Is the rim tubeless-ready?
Yes. For a tubeless setup you'll need suitable rim tape and tubeless valves.
