Wheelset:
The Hydra Grade 300 V2 wheelset is the most downhill-oriented wheelset among the aluminum Hydra wheels. It was developed for downhill bikes, bike park machines, and e-bikes with long travel suspension. The hollow bead rim walls provide increased stability and puncture protection. The special triple cavity rim design minimizes deformation after hard impacts. The Grade 300 V2 wheelset utilizes the renowned Hydra System spoke chassis with exclusive aluminum spokes bolted directly to the hub for maximum stability and control.

A 65% thicker axle, redesigned to dissipate stress more effectively.

Larger 6903 bearings throughout, a new labyrinth channel, and a full-surface radial lip seal to keep out elements that cause premature bearing wear.

A new design to ensure consistent bearing preload, regardless of fluctuations in axle tension.

Larger pawl pockets of 5.5 mm, which dissipate force 26% better and prevent stretching and elongation of the pockets over the years.

Harder metal for the drive mechanism and an additional tooth on each pawl ensure that the Hydra2 can easily handle the torque of the most powerful e-bike motors.

In our quest to make the Hydra2 virtually indestructible, we made no compromises on key performance improvements. The next generation features both faster 0.41° engagement and 60% less rolling resistance than its predecessor.
