This versatile balm is designed for the most demanding conditions (think your longest rides or the wettest, hottest conditions). Founder Steve Mathews originally developed this product for himself to meet his needs on longer rides. He wanted a balm that lasted longer than creams and was easier to carry than an 8-ounce tube of Butt'r.

Ultra is very different from our other Butt'r creams (and that's a good thing for some rides!). We spent six years perfecting the Ultra balm formula to make it thicker than our anti-chafing creams, offering advanced protection and long-lasting comfort. Essentially, Ultra is designed to be applied and stay put. We worked on this formula with a select group of experienced long-distance and ultra-endurance cyclists, as well as everyday cyclists and bikepackers, to ensure this balm stands up to scrutiny.

  • A firm balm that softens upon touch.
  • One application lasts all day.
  • Made from natural ingredients
  • Designed for the most demanding anti-chafing needs, but also protects other skin areas (ideal for covering healing skin!)
  • No petroleum! Made from high-quality natural ingredients such as beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, and peppermint oil.
  • No tingling! The natural peppermint oil smells great, but contains no skin tingling.
  • Help us recycle! These 5-ounce tins are designed to be reused. The lid screws on tightly, so your money, cable ties, or snacks are safely stored while traveling.

APPLICATION

  • Apply directly to the skin or chamois pad to protect the skin and prevent chafing.
  • If the product is hard, use your fingers to warm it up.
  • Massage excess balm into the skin.
  • Reapply as needed.
  • Reuse or recycle metal packaging.
