The Evolution of Deviate – Breaking New Ground

Deviate is a relatively young brand. It was founded in 2016 in Scotland by two friends, Chris Deverson and Ben Jones, who were convinced that better bikes were out there just waiting to be developed. It was clear that these couldn't be catalog bikes, but Chris and Ben also wanted to deviate from the tried and tested path in terms of kinematics and rear suspension design – or, in English, "deviate," which is how the name was born.

Deviate Cycles is a rapidly growing Scottish bike manufacturer that has been selling mountain bikes since 2018.
Deviate develops and manufactures high-end mountain bikes with innovative high-pivot rear suspension designs. For maximum durability, the Scottish company uses both grease fittings and fully sealed bearings.
Deviate plans to develop a complete range of mountain bikes in all categories.
Thanks to its multiple award-winning products and successful marketing and branding campaigns, Deviate is already known worldwide despite its relatively short history.
